What a beautiful tour that was... But everything from the beginning: The Sidewalk Surfers asked us a few months ago if we would like to play with them in Zurich. Ähhh? Zurich?Whaat? Ok, let's do it! For us, it was an unbelievable route, and of course we were up for it. To round off the weekend, we wanted to play a show around Saarbrücken on Friday. But that turned out to be difficult. Without further ado, the great Sidewalk Surfers asked us to play a spontaneous secret show in their rehearsal room, where only the closest Sidewalk homies were invited.
After a 6-hour drive, we arrived at a very deserted industrial site, where the rehearsal room was hidden in an abandoned building. Cozy and unchic is probably apt. However, all the people inside were great. Canned beer, family pizza and a karaoke session at the end sweetened our evening. Big thanks go out to the guys from Sidewalk Surfers, who gave their all to give us a great evening.
The next morning, we had a relaxed breakfast at the bakery and set off for Zurich, directly via France. Volli and Matze took this as an opportunity to switch to Vino Bianchi. After 4.5 hours, we arrived in Zurich full of expectation. There we were greeted by an incredible crew of what felt like 12 people who ran the store, all on a voluntary basis... Incredibly cool! The place is just great. The food, the organization, the sound and the bar were just awesome. Tapped beer from a private, local brewery... GREAT! We were allowed to open the evening with a 45-minute set and had a lot of fun until the Sidewalk Surfers shredded the evening. Afterwards, Volli played a few more songs on the DJ booth to bring the evening to a festive close. Thank you, thank you, thank you to the great Mundwerk Kulturbiotop for allowing us to be with you. Keep up the good work! We love your place and bow down to your commitment. Now that's culture! Then we bow down to the Sidewalk Surfers, who took us with them and gave us this unforgettable weekender. I hope we can return the favor in the near future!
Sunday we went back to Osnabrück in 8.5 hours, where we happily fell into bed! Weekend off!
